Goode's Custom Garage traces its roots to 1993, when Matthew Goode began detailing professionally. Over the years, that work grew into a family-owned and operated business centered on hands-on vehicle care. The knowledge and techniques built along the way have passed from one generation to the next, shaping how Goode's approaches paint care and protection today.
In 2014, Matthew Goode took the next step by turning detailing from a side pursuit into a full-time business, marking a new chapter for Goode's Custom Garage. In 2015, he earned his Auto Detailing Technician certification through Detail King, adding formal technical training to his hands-on experience.
As the business evolved, Goode's expanded its expertise into paint correction, ceramic coatings, and paint protection film, earning manufacturer authorizations and industry recognition along the way, including IGL Silver and Gold Installer designations and the 2023 SDC Detailer of the Year award. Those years of training and recognition now shape the shop's core focus: SB3 ceramic coatings, paint protection film, and paint correction for vehicle owners who want long-lasting results.
Today, Goode's Custom Garage operates by appointment from its Brooks, Kentucky location and serves vehicle owners throughout Greater Louisville, from Shepherdsville and Mt. Washington to Jeffersontown and the Highlands. Appointment-only scheduling gives each vehicle dedicated time in the shop, whether it's a daily driver, a classic, a motorcycle, or a high-end exotic.
